Your local Biorepository is part of the NHS Research Scotland (NRS) Biorepository Network, independently accredited to oversee governance on the collection, storage and release of biological materials obtained from informed, consenting patients for use in medical research. Through the NHS Research Scotland Biorepository Network, national systems provide streamlined access to anonymised tissue and limited associated data across Scotland.
The biorepository also provides governance support for access to samples prior to clinical discard across a range of clinical specialities held within NHS Scotland Diagnostic archives.
Your biorepository can provide a variety of support including tissue collection, specialist advice, standardised documentation, and a variety of tissue services. Please contact your local Biorepository manager to discuss your project requirements and costs in more detail. Applications are invited from commercial and non-commercial researchers.
Please create an account with us by selecting Request Access before completing a tissue application.
